A convicted Hamilton sex offender is back behind bars after one of his victims allegedly found the man on a dating website — a violation of his probation conditions. Hamilton police confirmed Jeffrey Smallwood remains in custody after being arrested Friday, Jan. He's charged with breaching a probation order and three counts of failing to comply with probation. He was released on probation in August.
He pleaded guilty to several counts of sexual assault in At the time of his conviction, he was already a registered sex offender because of an earlier conviction. Soon after his release, Smallwood was found to be working for Elections Canada in September, canvassing for voter registry information. When some of his victims learned about this work, they complained and Elections Canada reased him to other work. Several of his victims, who cannot be identified because of publication bans, spoke to The Spectator about their fear of him being back in the community.

They formed a private Facebook group after his release to report sightings of the now year-old. It was on this Facebook group where someone posted that they had seen Smallwood on the dating network Badoo.
One of his victims said she immediately ed the site and made a fake profile pretending to be a year-old. Within minutes, she found the that she believes belongs to Smallwood.
In a profile image shared with The Spectator, the user says the his name is Jeff and claims he works in sales. The man in the image has a backwards black hat with Canada written in red, sunglasses and a large ring on his nose.
